When Imtoy contacted me asking if I wanted to review one of their products, I was unsure about what product I wanted to review. I was interested in the Gazelle, but for some reason the Rhino also caught my attention. I wasn’t sure about it because usually, internal vibrators don’t do it for me because they start up too intense, but the person from Imtoy said that the Rhino was highly liked and that the vibrations would suit me, and he strongly recommended that I try it, so I decided on this one instead of the Gazelle.
I love the Rhino’s packaging. It comes in a a sturdy pink box, with a nice rhino design on it. You can pull on the ribbon to slide it open, and find everything well wrapped, with an instruction booklet and charging cable.
I absolutely love the packaging, the only thing that is missing with this toy in my opinion, is a storage bag.
The Rhino is a rabbit style vibrator, which can be used vaginally as well as anally. It’s made of silicone, which feels super smooth and luxurious, as well as non tacky. I really like this silicone, because it’s smooth surface doesn’t attract any lint! The base of the toy, where the charging magnets are, is made of rose gold ABS plastic, which gives an overall luxury look to the toy.
The shaft is super rigid, and cannot be bent at all; it’s rock hard. Conversely, the clitoral arm is flexible and made so it can fit different bodies.
The toy is USB rechargeable, and the cable and magnet charger both are nice and easy to use. The magnets connect strongly together, and the charger lights upon connection. However, it makes it confusing to know whether the toy is fully charged or not, as the light doesn’t do as stated in the instruction manual. On another hand, I like the the charger can easily be recognized, as it can be complicated finding the charger you are looking for when all of them look the same.
The toy can be controlled via either an app or a button that’s located on the toy. To be honest, I didn’t even have to read the instructions to be able to download the app, connect it with my toy, and use it. That means that it is very simple to use, and can be done instinctively. However, those who are not as familiar with technology, or tend to need more instructions, will find everything they need in the information booklet. The app offers many great options, such as voice or music synced vibrations, predetermined patterns, a customizeable pattern, and an option to set the shaft and arm on two different intensities of constant speeds.
The Rhino is a great toy in use. The arm unfortunately misses my clit, and ends up too high over it. This part being flexible, I can get it to touch my clit directly, but to do so, I have to angle the toy so the internal shaft deeply hits on my G-spot, which I find uncomfortable because I don’t like vibrations to be too intense on there. I can still get off with this vibrator, either by moving it around, or pulling it out a bit so that the arm teases my clit. The vibrations are quite rumbly, which makes it feel better internally (and externally) than a buzzy vibe in my opinion.
My favourite aspect of this toy is the fact that you can control both the shaft and arm motors separately using the app. Usually, my issue with internal vibrators is that they start on a speed that’s too intense for me, but the Rhino’s lowest speed is perfect for me. I can also use the clit arm on a higher setting to warm up, before changing for a higher setting for the shaft. However, when controlling both motors separately with the app, it takes a while before the vibration adjusts in the toy.
I also like the other options offered by the app. It’s pretty easy to use, but in the beginning I had to press on multiple buttons to find the setting that I was looking for. I find that the app could be organized more logically. For iPhone users, the music synchronization option requires that you connect your phone to a computer and add the music in the app via iTunes, which I didn’t bother doing. According to the user manual, Android phone users have direct access to this option via the app, without the hassle.
That being said, I had an overall good experience with the app, and never experienced any synchronization issues! I also really appreciate the fact that you can open another app only our phone without loosing the connection between your phone and vibrator. I find this especially useful when watching porn, because you can easily switch apps and change your vibe’s settings while doing it.
I am noting a few downsides to the toy as well. I personally find that the button setting that is on the toy is not worth using without the app, because it is much more complicated to use, and doesn’t offer as many nice options. Also, I have found myself having to charge my Rhino up after every single use, which is upsetting because it happened on many occasions that I was about to masturbate with it, only to find out that it wouldn’t open and that it needed to be charged.
As any other rabbit, this toy is a hit or miss in regards to fitting your anatomy. For me, this aspect was kind of a miss, while every other aspects of this vibrator are a hit. There are a few things that need to be changed, but overall, the sensations it provides are on point, and the app makes it a great experience. It is a toy I would not hesitate to recommend!
